The deep sea is another world where cameras have limitations. For a project with Offshore Emergency Response, we needed to show a highly complex operation: a BOP (Blowout Preventer) replacement on the seabed. This is a massive, high-stakes procedure that happens in a dark, high-pressure environment far from human eyes.
Our solution was to create a photorealistic 3D animation that brought this entire process to the surface. We showed the ROVs (Remotely Operated Vehicles) maneuvering the equipment, the precise connection points, and the scale of the operation in a way that live footage could never capture. By making the unseen visible, we helped them train teams and communicate their expertise to a global audience.
Seeing Inside the Technology: Liberty Lift Systems
For our partners at Liberty Lift, the challenge was to explain how their innovative artificial lift technologies, like HyRate, work. Their systems are highly engineered solutions that happen inside the wellbore, converting annular flow to tubing flow to increase production. This is a complex mechanical process with multiple moving parts, all hidden from view.
Our animation allowed us to slice open the wellbore and reveal the inner workings of their technology. We showed the fluid dynamics, the internal mechanisms, and the "annular to tubing conversion" in action. This visual explanation simplifies a complex technical story, making it instantly understandable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Unveiling the Infrastructure: VSS Intelligent Controller
It's not just oil and gas that operates below the surface. Municipalities rely on vast, hidden networks of pipes and systems to manage water and wastewater. We worked with a Legend to visualize their VSS Intelligent Controller, a smart sensor system for sewer networks.
Our animation gave us the unique ability to go underground and show how the sensors and controllers work inside the sewer lines. We could follow the flow of data and the physical hardware in a way that would be impossible with traditional filming.
