I’m Matt Marquart, and I started Houston Video Agency with one goal in mind:
Help smart companies tell better stories—clearly, visually, and fast.

I’ve spent over 20 years in digital marketing, branding, and SEO—first with agencies, then running my own firm, HandBuiltBrands. Over and over, I saw the same issue: businesses have trouble telling their story. And especially when you can’t see what you’re selling with the naked eye, people tend to just talk with their hands a lot.

Video forces a different kind of thinking. It gives a constraint—60 to 90 seconds—to get to the heart of what matters. That constraint sharpens our process and point of view. Every video we produce isn’t just a visual—it’s a clarified message.

But over time, it became clear: video needed its own lane.
So we launched Houston’s Video Agency as a standalone brand—built specifically for companies that want to sharpen their message and explain what they do through compelling, short-form video.

HandBuiltBrands still runs point on SEO/GEO, websites, and digital strategy. There’s natural crossover between the two, and we still work hand-in-glove on shared clients. But the audiences are different, and the needs are different—so now, the brands are too.

Why I Focus on Video

Because video tells the truth fast.
